I have been closely examining the high school esports scene in each state, and today, our focus turns to Louisiana. This state is known for its unique cultural and historical heritage, jazz music, Mardi Gras celebrations, and French colonial architecture. Unsurprisingly, Louisiana also boasts a thriving esports community.
In the current year alone, Louisiana has seen a total of 243 matches, featuring over 250 esports players across the state. The most popular game in Louisiana is Valorant, with a staggering 80 players.
I would like to acknowledge Jesuit Esports, particularly the "Lee's Seafood and Grill" Valorant team, for their exceptional performance. Despite facing tough competition in the region, their perseverance since 2022 has kept them on an upward trajectory.
Although they were unable to defeat Hebron High School, we congratulate Jesuit Esports on a season well-fought. I would also like to extend my gratitude to all the other Louisiana teams for their outstanding performance this season.
