12.1. Anti-Cheat

There is no additional anti-cheat required for official matches.

12.2. Match Procedure

12.2.1. Discipline

The current Call of Duty game offered by the High School Esports League is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

12.2.2. Series Lengths

All matches will consist of a best of 5 series.

12.2.3. Game modes

The game modes should be played in the following order:

  • Hardpoint

  • Search and Destroy

  • Control

  • Hardpoint

  • Search and Destroy

12.2.4. Game Lobby

Each team will take turns hosting the match, starting with the higher seed team.

12.2.4.1. Lobby Settings

  • Team Assignment: Open

  • Team Change In-Game: Disabled

  • CODcasting: Disabled

  • 3rd Person Spectating: Disabled

  • Dynamic Map Elements: Enabled

  • Battlechatter: Disabled

  • Announcer: Enabled

  • Best Play: Enabled

  • 3rd Person Gestures: Disabled

  • Gesture Camera Control: Disabled

12.2.4.2. Game mode settings

All game mode settings should be set to the default CWL settings for the game mode, which can be selected under “change map and game mode”.

12.2.5. Map Veto

The higher seed will select to act as Team A or B before the match begins. After the higher seed has made this decision the veto will proceed as follows with the map pool in rule 12.2.6.:

  • Team A bans a Hardpoint map

  • Team B bans a Hardpoint map

  • Team A chooses a remaining Hardpoint map for Game 1

  • Team B chooses which side they will start on for Game 1

  • Team B chooses a remaining Hardpoint map for Game 4

  • Team A chooses which side they will start on for Game 4

  • Team B Bans a Search and Destroy Map

  • Team A Bans a Search and Destroy Map

  • Team B chooses a remaining Search and Destroy map for Game 2

  • Team A chooses which side they will start on for Game 2

  • Team A chooses a remaining Search and Destroy map for Game 5

  • Team B chooses which side they will start on for Game 5

  • Team A bans one Control map

  • Team B bans one Control map

  • Team A chooses a remaining Control map for Game 3

  • Team B chooses which side they will start on for Game 3

12.3.7. Scorestreaks

The following scorestreaks are prohibited from use in official matches:

  • UAV

  • Care Package

  • Counter-UAV

  • Sentry

  • Mantis

12.3.8. Gear

The following gear are prohibited from use in official matches:

  • Acoustic Sensor

12.4. Stoppage of Play

Players may not end the game under any circumstances. In the event that a player disconnects from the server during a game, the game will continue and that player cannot be replaced. In the event of a server crash or host drop, the game will be restarted. A player who is affected by a server crash or host drop may not be replaced.

12.5. Player Count

Both teams participating in a match must provide 5 players at the beginning of the first game, and 4 for each consecutive game. During a game, if a team should lose 2 players that have disconnected with the intention of no longer playing in the match at the same time, that team will forfeit the remainder of the game to the opposing team. If a team is not able to field the required amount of players for additional games in the series, then they will forfeit the remainder of the match.
