Promoting Esports across all academic communities.
Ever since my WoW PvP grind in high school, I have been passionate about esports. After not making try outs for basketball and tennis in my 6A Division 1 school, something clicked. I had always wished I could play WoW or COD for my school. My purpose and drive is inspired by my high school self, and it turns out there are many, many students that share my story!
I have been an avid gamer my whole life. In 8th grade I petitioned for a video game club to be hosted at my middle school and succeeded! With a passion that could not be ignored any longer, I quit my job and co-founded the HSEL in the pursuit of growing esports for the entire world.
I did not play video games avidly until the Minecraft Alpha was released. I spent hours playing religiously, and even hosting my own servers. My gamer world expanded to Starcraft 2 and LoL, which both introduced me to esports. I joined HSEL after hosting my own league for a semester, in the hopes of contributing to esports on a global scale.
My name is Marcel (Dynamics, sKy) Paige. My life mostly revolves around theatre, gaming, music, and basketball. Currently, I mainly love and play Overwatch, although i’m interested in a ton of different games and genres. I watch pretty much every major eSport, I love being able to talk about esports with my colleagues, and casting Overwatch is extremely exciting.
I am Beau "Bomoe" Hughes. I live in a small town in Wisconsin, I am 17 years old, and a senior in high school. I mainly play CS:GO and mainly do support/production for HSEL.
I have been working around esports for about 3 years. After a short lived run as a player I began working as a member of the talent crew casting CS:GO and working on the desk. I currently manage my own venture at Gamaniac Entertainment and now work for HSEL as a League Director and production manager.
I am Elijah “SqUiD” Smith, an 18-year-old streamer and caster. I also have experience playing on two CS:GO teams, so I can say that I have a well-rounded experience in all aspects of tournaments. After my first (and last) season of playing in HSEL I wanted improve and give back to the community that I enjoyed so much, so I gladly became an Intern and caster.
I'm CJ Cabungcal, part-time photographer/videographer, part-time athlete, and full-time video gamer. I aid HSEL in content creation. With college (and life) coming up, I decided it was a good idea to intern for HSEL-- I gain experience in a potential career field and take part in a rapidly growing industry.
I am Leonie Walter, a twenty-one year old from California. I have been playing games my whole life, but only got into Esports in High School. In my Junior year, I started playing Osu! and got relatively good at it. Then I started playing games like League of Legends, CS:GO, Hearthstone, VainGlory, Rocket League, and Overwatch. I am now studying Concept Art for Video Games at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, in the hopes of becoming a character designer for a big game studio.
